Terms of Service

1. Who Can Subscribe

You must be at least 18 years old and a parent, legal guardian, or adult purchasing on a child's behalf with the parent's or guardian's permission. The Service is designed for parents and caregivers. Children may not create accounts or make purchases.

2. Your Account

You agree to give us accurate information and keep it current, including your shipping address and payment details. You're responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your login details secure.

3. The SparkStar's MailVenture Subscription

A SparkStar's MailVenture subscription delivers a mailed story adventure, addressed to the child you name at signup, eight times a year. Plan options, prices, and what's included are shown at checkout. Contents may vary from month to month, and we may substitute items of similar value when needed.

4. Gift Subscriptions

Gift subscriptions open in early November. SparkStar's MailVenture is addressed to the child you name, and the account, emails, billing, and renewal stay with you, the purchaser. Gift subscriptions renew automatically like any other subscription unless you cancel.

5. Billing and Payment

Subscriptions are billed once a year and include 8 MailVenture issues. The price is shown at checkout. Our launch rate is $59.99 for the first year for subscribers who join by January 31, 2027 (40% off the $99.99 list price). We don't currently offer free trials or monthly payments.

When you subscribe, you authorize us and our payment processor, Stripe, to charge your payment method the plan price plus any applicable taxes and shipping. Your first charge happens at checkout. Later charges happen on your renewal date each year. Charges appear on your statement as GLOBAL GALACTICS.

If a payment fails, we may retry it and pause shipments until payment goes through. We'll email you if there's a problem with your payment.

6. Automatic Renewal

Your subscription renews automatically once a year until you cancel. Each renewal is charged to the payment method on file at the renewal price shown at checkout. For subscribers who join at the launch rate, the renewal price is $79.99 per year. By subscribing, you agree to these recurring annual charges.

• We'll email a confirmation after signup that explains your plan, price, billing frequency, and how to cancel.
• We'll send a reminder 15 days before your renewal date.
• If your price changes, we'll notify you at least 30 days before the new price applies, and you can cancel before then.

7. Cancellation

You can cancel anytime, online, via your subscriber account or by emailing [email protected]. We'll send a confirmation email when your cancellation is complete.

• Timing. Cancel before 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on the day before your renewal date to avoid the next charge.
• What happens next. Cancellation stops future renewals, and we'll refund any MailVenture issues you've paid for that haven't shipped yet (see Refunds).

8. Refunds

If you cancel, we'll send you a prorated refund for any MailVenture issues in your current subscription year that haven't shipped yet. MailVentures that have already shipped are non-refundable. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 15 business days. Nothing in these Terms limits any refund rights you have under applicable law.

9. Shipping

We ship to United States addresses only. Shipments go out eight times a year and delivery dates depend on the carrier. Please update your address before your renewal date so the next MailVenture reaches you. If a MailVenture is lost or arrives damaged, contact us within 30 days and we'll work with you on a replacement.

10. Safety

SparkStar's MailVenture materials are intended for children ages 4 and up. Some items may include small parts. Please review contents before giving them to a child and supervise as needed.

11. Our Content

The SparkStar's MailVenture stories, characters, artwork, and materials belong to Global Galactics and are protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may use them for personal, non-commercial enjoyment. Please don't copy, resell, or distribute them without our written permission.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the extent the law allows, Global Galactics won't be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.

14. Disputes and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia. Before filing any claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll email you before they take effect. Continuing your subscription after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
